How does solar power work and what makes it such a reliable source of renewable energy?

Once your new system is installed, the PV cells on the solar panels will begin to work their magic. They absorb the sun’s natural light and turn it into a usable form of DC energy (Direct Current). This is directed to the inverter where it is converted into AC (Alternating Current). At this stage the clean energy generated by the panels can be used around the home or sent to a battery where it is stored until you need it.

If you are generating more power than you need, you can sell your excess energy back to the grid. Simply set up an SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) rate with your supplier and you will get paid a set amount per kWh exported.
